From this article you will learn where it is better to live with your baby, where to go, what to feed and a lot of other useful information

HOTEL ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS

1 adult +1 child.

If you decide to come to Israel alone with your baby, you should understand that this is not the most economical travel option. Unfortunately, the discounts provided for children at the hotel do not apply to your case. You can only count on accommodation in a Double room. Very rarely, during the off-season, hotels can offer a SINGLE+ CHD discount.

1 adult +2 children.

This option is similar to the previous one with the only difference being that the accommodation will be double room + child, Double+CHD

Parents+1 child.

If you decide to come with one child, then you can choose any hotel in Israel - almost all hotels in the country offer accommodation in Double+CHD double rooms, where there will be an extra bed or a folding sofa for the child. If you are arriving with a baby under 2 years old, then when booking a hotel, do not forget to remind them to provide you with a BABY COAT; in many hotels this service is free.

Parents + 2 or more children.

If you are traveling with several children, then when choosing a hotel, you need to check with us which hotels have special family rooms. Israeli hotels have rooms that can comfortably accommodate a family with 3-4 children. If there are no special family rooms in the hotel you choose (usually these are tourist-class hotels), then it is possible (but quite expensive) to stay in two standard double rooms connected by a door - Connected.

Accommodation for children in hotels up to a certain age is offered with significant discounts, so when choosing and booking a hotel, ask what age the hotel considers a child to be a child. Standard option - up to 12 years.

In the table below, we invite you to familiarize yourself with the hotels in the main resorts in Israel where special family rooms are available:

CHILD NUTRITION

If you are traveling with a small child, the issue of nutrition is very important. There are many hotels in Israel whose rooms have kitchenettes, and almost all hotels have a tea corner (kettle and tea/coffee set), where you can always dilute formula for your baby or heat up food. In grocery stores or Superpharm/Newpharm chain stores you can easily buy milk porridges for infants (~$3 per package) and vegetable/fruit mixtures (~$1.3 per jar). There are no meat purees for sale. There is always a large selection of fresh fruits and berries at any time of the year, the prices for everything are definitely lower than in Russia.

However, having a kitchenette in the room will greatly facilitate the task of feeding a baby or baby. Usually this is a sink, refrigerator, stove or microwave oven and a basic set of dishes.

Contact us and we will find you a hotel whose rooms are equipped with kitchenettes!

Unfortunately, all-inclusive hotels in Israel there are not so many, there is a hotel on the Dead Sea and several in Eilat.

SWIM IN THE SEA AND POOL

On the Red Sea (Eilat) the water temperature is +23 degrees almost all year round, and the air temperature in winter and spring averages +25 degrees.

On the Mediterranean Sea, the beaches of Netanya, Tel Aviv, Bat Yam, the official swimming season begins in April and ends in October.

In winter, when it is already cold to swim in the sea and in outdoor hotel pools, it is very important to have a heated water pool in the hotel. By the way, keep in mind that in all hotels children under 14 (and in some under 16) years old are prohibited from entering the SPA. Therefore, you will have to think in advance what your child will do when you are in the spa.

Below we suggest you familiarize yourself with the list of hotels that have heated swimming pools.

TRAVELING BY CAR WITH CHILDREN

According to Israeli traffic regulations, children under 14 years of age are not allowed to be transported in the front seat unless the child is in an appropriate seat belt for their age and weight.

It is prohibited to transport children under 4 years of age in a car unless they are in a special device equipped with seat belts.

If you rent a car, be sure to rent a child car seat ($5 per day).

OTHER USEFUL TIPS

And of course, so that your vacation is not overshadowed by troubles - our reminders.

1. Don't forget to protect your child's skin with sunscreen; in Israel, under the hot sun, you can get sunburned in a few minutes.

2. Wherever you are, wherever you are going, always have a bottle of water with you, you need to drink a lot.

3. Keep in mind that children under 14 years of age are usually not allowed in hotel spas. Therefore, most likely, your child will have to be left at the children's club or with a nanny while you visit the spa. Or take turns going to the spa :)

4. You should not take diapers with you. They can always be bought in grocery stores, supermarkets and Superpharm/Newpharm stores

Take your children with you, because when traveling, children experience a leap in development, the boundaries of consciousness expand, and their imagination manifests itself. You will definitely notice changes in your baby - new words, skills, because travel is the intellectual development of a child!

A trip to Israel was suggested as one of the options.

Why? Because this is a great option for relaxing with children.

At this time it is quite warm in Israel. Getting there is easy and simple. The flight is short and not at all tiring. There are many flights, and air tickets are inexpensive.

Israel is an amazing and unique country. They love children here and do everything to make them happy.

This means that there will be no problems with accommodation and food for small tourists.

In addition, Israel is a museum state in which ancient history, biblical stories, the earthly journey of Christ, various religions, the dramatic fate of the people, secularism and the high European standard of living are intertwined in an incomprehensible way.

There are many wonderful places in Israel that both adults and children will enjoy visiting. In addition, given the small area of the country, you can visit different parts of it in a short period of time.

Where to go in Israel with a child and what to see?

The weather in the winter months in Israel is varied. It depends on the location of the point where you are going.

For example, in the north of the country there may be snow on the slopes of Mount Hermon at this time. Here at the ski resort you will find fun skiing, sledding and snowboarding. Entertainment for everyone - from accompanying grandparents to the little ones.

Opportunities for a beach holiday in Israel in February

It is unlikely that you will be able to splash around at this time in one of the four seas whose waters wash Israel. These are the Red, Mediterranean, Dead and Galilee Sea (the latter is Lake Kinneret with fresh water).

The weather is generally comfortable: +15…+21 degrees, although it still often rains in February. But the water is still cold for a beach holiday. In the Mediterranean Sea (Tel Aviv) the water temperature reaches +18 degrees, and few people dare to swim in the cool Mediterranean waters.

In the Dead Sea the water is a little warmer: +18…+20 degrees. And the warmest at this time is the Red Sea (at the resort of Eilat): +22 degrees.

Well, you won't be able to relax on the beach. But such a moderate and not hot temperature is a great opportunity to devote time to excursions and visit many interesting places.

To the holy places of Israel with children

It is impossible to visit Israel and not visit Jerusalem. Don't be afraid that your child won't understand or won't be interested. Tour of the tunnels Western Wall is unlikely to leave the child indifferent. The impressions received will be remembered for many years.

Jerusalem – the oldest city in the world. Its part, the so-called Old City, is the center of Judaism and Christianity, these are historical, cultural and religious monuments of different nations: the Jewish Western Wall and Temple Mount, the Christian Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the Muslim Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock.

Zoos of Israel

There are a lot of zoos in Israel. Moreover, their peculiarity is that animals live in them almost in natural conditions. Well, children really like to watch and communicate with animals. And visiting zoos is guaranteed to bring them pleasure and joy.

On the eastern outskirts of Tel Aviv on a vast territory (more than 100 hectares) is located Zoological Safari Center in Ramat Gan.

This is something like the African savannah. The animals live in huge enclosures, and the illusion of free communication with wild lions, giraffes, and leopards is created.

Moving around the park in a special car or in your own car, you can take an amazing journey into the world of animals and birds and attend educational lessons for children. Here in the park you can relax on numerous playgrounds and attractions.

This tropical park's crocodile farm is home to many crocodiles (about 200 species). Watching them bask in the sun and swim in ponds is very interesting.

And this is not the only entertainment in the park. Here you can have a lot of fun with your children at the Splash water attraction, take healthy baths in thermal springs and swimming pools.

There is a living corner and a mini safari where children can play with the animals or listen to an amazing performance by trained parrots.

This zoo, which is located in the southwest of Jerusalem, houses more than 200 species of animals that have lived in the land of Israel since Biblical times, including many rare and endangered.

It's always crowded here. Picturesque nature, waterfalls, a lake, lawns, comfortable walking paths without stairs make this park an attractive place for parents and children to relax.

Park A-Kofim - monkey nursery

In the Middle East, this park is perhaps the only one of its kind, and it is located near Jerusalem in the Ben Shemen forest.

The park very realistically reproduces the atmosphere of the jungle and tropical forest. Many monkeys (more than 100 species) live almost naturally in open enclosures.

There are so many interesting places in Israel and, of course, it is impossible to visit all the places in one trip. But if you can visit Australian Animal Park Gan-Guru, Red Sea Aquarium(Eilat), Ein Gedi Nature Reserve(near the Dead Sea) - it will be wonderful and educational.

Israel Museums and other attractions

What to do if you want to see everything, but your children don’t have enough time or physical endurance for this?

In this case, a visit to a very original museum will help you out. "Mini Israel".

This is an open-air museum-country, which contains all the outstanding monuments of Israel. Moreover, these exhibits are presented on a scale of 1:25. The country lives its own life in this mini-world: planes take off from mini-airports, mini-ships are loaded at the port, trains depart from stations, and all this is inhabited by miniature figures of people.

Interesting for children - TAnkh Museumin Latrun, located between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. It amazes with the variety of military equipment, most of it captured.

This is one of the few museums in the world in which exhibits (various fruits and vegetables, fairy-tale characters and even famous actors and politicians) are made from marzipan (a mixture of powdered sugar and almond flour).

Here, under the guidance of experienced mentors, children can create marzipan figures with their own hands and even take part in a competition for the best marzipan composition.

Walk through the narrow streets of Jaffa, Israel's oldest city, or through the ancient Roman ruins in Caesarea National Park, visit the delightful gardens surrounding the Bahai Temple in friendly and tolerant Haifa or the national park and reserve Ein Gedi in the Judean Desert will fill in the missing pieces in the mosaic picture of the many-sided and diverse Israel.

If you get tired of sights and museums, you can simply go with your children to attractions or water parks.

The most famous: in Tel Aviv - Lunapark, Superland in Rishon Lezion,Waterpark "Shvaim".

  • If there is no clearly defined plan and the trip is an excursion, it is best to stay in Tel Aviv. Excursions on all routes depart from here.
  • If you go on a trip on your own, experienced travelers advise purchasing excursions locally in Israel. Because it's cheaper.
  • Not everyone knows that swimming in the Dead Sea with small children should be done with caution. Very salty water, if it comes into contact with the mucous membrane, can cause severe burning and more serious complications.

Red sea

On the shores of the Red Sea lies the country's southernmost resort - Eilat. There is a very beautiful nature reserve around the resort. Due to its remoteness from other cities, Eilat has its own airport.

The northern coast of Eilat has sandy beaches, while in the south there are pebble and pebble-sand beaches. According to reviews of holidays in Israel on the Red Sea, the southern coast is more suitable for lovers of snorkeling and diving; you can only enter the sea from pontoons, while the northern coast is for family holidays.

All Eilat beaches are municipal, but hotels rent part of the beach to make it accessible only to their vacationers. Entertainment options include yachting, jeeping, fishing and water sports; many people come here for shopping.

Where can you relax in Israel inexpensively?

The most unpleasant aspect of a holiday in Israel is the high prices. Hotels here are expensive, and, as tourists write in their reviews, star rating is very relative. The cheapest room in a 3* hotel in Tel Aviv or Eilat will cost at least $50 per night per person, and the average price hovers around $100. The lowest prices are in winter, approximately 1.5 times lower than in spring or autumn.

How much does a trip to Israel cost? We are available for trips of 3, 5, 7 and 10 days.

The most expensive hotels in Herzliya. This resort is considered elite, almost all hotels are 5*, there is a lot of entertainment for rich people. It is relatively inexpensive to relax in Netanya and Bat Yam. Hotels in Netanya are mostly 2-3*. This is a good resort for young people and everyone who loves active recreation and nightlife. Bat Yam is a suburb of Tel Aviv. Prices for holidays here are lower than in the capital, and much quieter, and for entertainment you can go to Tel Aviv.

Holidays in Bat Yam can be combined with shopping - the city has many boutiques and shopping centers with Israeli cosmetics and branded clothing. (Photo © wikimedia.org / Odo1982)

Cultural and excursion holidays in Israel

The most popular among excursion destinations is Jerusalem- tourists love to wander through the ancient quarters of the Old City. Here are the main religious shrines of Christians, Jews and Muslims - the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the Temple Mount, the Wailing Wall, the Dome of the Rock, the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The Biblical Zoo is located in the southwest of the city, and lovers of antiquities and museum exhibits can visit the Israel Museum.

Other biblical cities are no less popular - Bethlehem, Nazareth, Safed And Tiberias. In the capital, the Old City of Jaffa is of greatest interest to tourists. The city of Haifa has gained worldwide fame thanks to the famous Bahai Gardens. Vacationers in Ein Bokek visit Masada - a fortress built in the desert under King Herod.

It is worth noting that the Israelis on Friday at sunset and until sunset Saturday rest - they have Shabbat. Transport and shops also do not work, so this nuance must be taken into account when planning trips around the country.

Once upon a time, during the times of the USSR, all Soviet families tried to take their children to Anapa for the summer. Anapa was considered the most “children’s” resort: the beach is sandy, the entry into the sea is smooth, the sanatoriums and boarding houses are specialized... Now that our people have looked (and many have looked closely, and more than once) behind the “Iron Curtain” , it became clear: there are other places to relax. The beaches there are cleaner, the sea is gentler, the service is better... And Anapa gradually lost its “children’s” status. Moms and dads are now trying to take their children away from their native shores.

There are more opportunities for recreation, but the number of questions that parents never stop asking themselves and each other has also increased. Where to go on vacation with a child? Which hotel should you choose? Will there be anything to feed the baby?

Let’s make a reservation right away: our list of “children’s” hotels includes only seaside hotels. After all, a holiday with kids is, first and foremost, a beach holiday. The attractions are good for schoolchildren. And for the little ones - zoos, oceanariums, amusement parks and sea-sea-sea...

You can safely go to the resorts of Israel (we are not talking about resorts on the shores of the Dead Sea, since splashing and diving in its waters) even with the smallest infants. In general, in this country there is a cult of children. Everything is focused on them. The main thing is to choose the right time of rest (so that it is not too hot: April-March and September-October are optimal) and a hotel (so that it is more comfortable and interesting for children, and easier for parents). Although, in fairness, it should be noted: in almost every hotel in the Holy Land it is convenient to relax with children.

Where to live and what to do for entertainment?

In principle, you can stay in any – even 3-star – hotel. Star rating will primarily affect the size of the hotel, but not the cleanliness and level of service. But to ensure that children are not only comfortable, but also interested, it is better to opt for one of the family hotels. As a rule, there are game rooms, children's pools, all kinds of entertainment programs...

What to feed?

In Israel, several harvests of vegetables and fruits are harvested throughout the year. And everything is so amazingly beautiful and tasty! There are even seedless watermelons. In any city there are "Russian shops" where the same products are sold as in Russia, of the same production and even in the same packaging. People from the former USSR work there: Ukrainians, Belarusians, Russians... In all stores, both "Russian" and "local", there are a lot of high quality dairy and sour-milk products. A lot of products (including ready-to-eat) for children under three years old. So, if necessary, it will not be difficult to do it yourself. But, as a rule, there is no need for this.

In hotels - especially those that position themselves as family - a varied buffet. There are special highchairs and "children's" dishes. The latter, as a rule, are not in great demand among Russians - our children are happy to eat food from an adult table. For example, for breakfast, the following set of dishes is offered: cottage cheese of various fat content (from 0% to 18%), cheeses, yogurts, vegetables, fruits, muesli, milk, eggs in various forms (fried eggs are fried immediately before being put on a plate), fresh bakery. During the day - free juices, fruits and freshly prepared cookies. Everything is of the highest quality. Children don't go hungry.

Moreover, an individual cleaner is "attached" to each little guest of the hotel in the restaurant - to quickly pick up what accidentally and in large quantities falls under the table.

Do not worry that the time for breakfast (lunch-dinner) has passed, and the child "did not eat anything." In Israel, children's features and even whims are treated with great understanding. “We were on vacation in Eilat with a 2-year-old child,” says Elena D., a Muscovite. “We decided to eat during the first shift in order to get to the sea early. But we encountered the following problem: when my daughter found herself in a restaurant for the first time, she was impressed by abundance of food and people, she actually didn’t eat anything - she just spun around. When it was time to clear the tables for the next shift, we still couldn’t squeeze anything into our princess. The restaurant managers, seeing our upset faces, invited my daughter and me to have breakfast several times - while the restaurant is open for vacationers."

Red sea. Eilat. Hotel Magic Palace (Fattal hotel chain).

Magic Palace offers its guests its own concept of relaxation: 5 stars for adults + 5 stars for little ones.

Surprises await kids, starting from the first minute of their stay at the hotel. At the entrance, little guests are greeted by characters from their favorite fairy tales, who lead them to a special “children’s room” for registration. Here, the kids are photographed and given a special “guest passport” and “checkbook” to receive free drinks, food and snacks.

But the biggest secret of the Magic Palace is hidden in the “Magic Jungle”. This is a children's club with video games, a mini-cinema and a variety of entertainment, where kind fairy-tale characters in colorful costumes give gifts to children.

Magic Palace is the only hotel in Israel operating non-stop:

  • Breakfast and brunch - from 7.30 to 12.30
  • Dinner - from 18.30 to 22.30
  • Internet service - around the clock
  • The lobby is open 24 hours a day

Not far from the hotel there is an aquarium, a dolphin reef and the Kings City amusement park (3D and 4D cinema, boat travel, a huge cave with 65 interactive elements, huge labyrinths, a “crooked” room, “test yourself” games, special optical devices that create interesting holograms, King Solomon's waterfalls, robots.

Not long ago, clubs for teenagers aged 9-17 years opened in the family hotels of the chain. Bright colors, huge comfortable poufs, LCD screens, simulators, dance mats - the clubs have everything that teenagers like. Entertainment programs have also been developed here in accordance with the interests of young clients.

Mediterranean Sea. Haifa. Hotel LEONARDO

The only hotel in Haifa located directly on the Mediterranean coast. The spacious rooms can accommodate parents even with four children.

The restaurant has a special children's menu. There is a children's club where teachers conduct creativity lessons and other children's activities. The children's pool is open.

Among the attractions located near the hotel are the Bahai Gardens, the German Settlement, the Stella Maris observation point, and the Nisens Valley. On Saturdays there is a free city tour. There is an interesting zoo in Haifa - there are practically no closed cages. Visitors can “visit” lemurs, a wide variety of birds and marine animals.

Mediterranean Sea. Bat Yam. Mercure Bat-Yam Hotel.

The hotel is located on the coast. Nearby is the beach: clean white sand, smooth entry into the water. Two-room suites with terraces and sea views are optimal for families with two children. There are no special children's options at the hotel (except for the pool, children's menu and high chairs in the restaurant). But its location - in a quiet resort town and at the same time - close to Tel Aviv with its numerous entertainment centers, children's clubs, a safari zoo, and various cafes makes it very convenient for a family holiday. We recommend visiting a chocolate cafe, where children enjoy squeezing chocolate out of tubes onto plates, drawing houses and suns with them, and then selflessly licking off their creations. And everything repeats itself again.
